A man was arrested during a recent traffic stop in Randall County after deputies found drugs and a stolen firearm, authorities said.
The Randall County Sheriff’s Office said a Patrol Deputy initiated a traffic stop May 1. During the stop, a K-9 Deputy was requested to assist. After arriving, the K-9 alerted to the presence of a narcotic odor, and the deputy determined there was probable cause to search the vehicle.
During the search, deputies located a pistol that was later determined to be stolen, as well as THC vape pens and marijuana.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Avery Guerra, was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail on multiple charges, including manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, theft of a firearm, delivery of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
