Texas universities make big impact in 2026 NFL Draft

The run on players from Texas universities started with the second pick in the draft, when Texas Tech’s David Bailey was selected by the New York Jets, and ended with fellow Red Raider Cole Wisniewski being selected 244th by the Philadelphia Eagles.

A total of 32 players who played for a Division I university in the state of Texas in 2025 were drafted. For the second year in a row, the UTEP Miners did not have a player selected during the NFL draft.
