Texas Tech softball's WCWS championship game vs. Texas in weather delay

UPDATE: First pitch is now set for 7:50 p.m. Central.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series championship between the Texas Tech and Texas softball teams has entered a weather delay.

Lightning began surfacing around the area of Devon Park around 4:40 p.m., more than two hours before the scheduled 7 p.m. start time. NCAA Softball sent an update on X (formerly Twitter) saying the first pitch will be pushed back until at least 7:45 p.m.

We’ll update this story as we learn more details.
