Texas A&M’s draft hopefuls have entered the most anxious stretch of the year, as the 2026 NFL Draft is officially underway and dozens of dreams are about to become reality. Mike Elko said that the Aggies could see double‑digit players drafted, and with 13 combine invitations, that outcome remains firmly in play.
Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. added more fuel to the conversation this week. In his updated Top 150, he listed eight Aggies, and across positional rankings, that number climbs to 15 total players. Even if A&M falls short of Elko’s double‑digit prediction, the program is poised to send a large group of players into NFL training camps this summer. It’s another sign of how quickly this staff has developed talent in just two full seasons.
NIL support and the culture Elko is building in Bryan‑College Station have made Texas A&M one of the most intriguing destinations in the country. But attracting elite recruits is only half the battle; keeping them on campus and preparing them for the NFL is what sustains a program. The draft grades across this year’s class show that A&M is checking that box, and it’s a major reason the Aggies currently hold the No. 1 recruiting class for 2027.
It will take all weekend to get the final tally, but there’s no doubt we’ll hear plenty of Aggie names called throughout all seven rounds.
