The Texas Tech football team needed just four plays to get on the scoreboard, and the game was pretty much over from there as the Red Raiders dismantled a banged-up UCF team 48-9 Saturday inside Jones AT&T Stadium.
The Red Raiders (10-1, 7-1) are ranked eighth in the nation. They scored on their first two possessions and took a 38-2 lead into halftime, able to sit on the ball and coast to another dominant victory.
The Red Raiders finished with 499 yards of offense, with Behren Morton (149 yards) and Mitch Griffis (145) each getting good time on the field. Reggie Virgil went for three touchdowns on the day, scoring twice on rushing scores and another on a pass from Morton in the second quarter, totaling 107 yards of total offense.
