Texas Tech basketball earns commitment from 2026 high school recruit

The Texas Tech basketball team added another member to its 2026 high school recruiting class Thursday.

The Red Raiders received a commitment from Treaton Hall out of North Crowley in Fort Worth, he announced on social media. Hall joins Dynamic Prep signee DaKari Spear on Grant McCasland’s team out of high school. Spear recently became a composite five-star recruit at 247Sports and has been signed since November.

Hall joins a Texas Tech team in need of bodies after losing the majority of its 2025-26 team to the transfer portal and the exhaustion of eligibility. Hall is listed as a 6-foot-7 wing.

Texas Tech currently has nine expected on its roster for the 2026-27 season, including returners JT Toppin (unlikely to play this season), Josiah Moseley, Marial Akuentok and LaTrell Hoover; transfer portal signings Cruz Davis (Hofstra), Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn (UNLV) and Damarion Dennis (Wyoming); plus high school recruits Spear and Hall.
