Texas A&M vs. ASU: NCAA Regional Final live updates, score

Texas A&M stayed alive on Saturday night, knocking UConn out of the College Station Regional with a 10–3 win-or-go-home victory to climb out of the loser’s bracket and earn a rematch with Arizona State in Sunday’s regional final.

Earlier in the day, the Aggies suffered a gut‑punch 4–3 loss to the Sun Devils, a game that flipped the bracket and put A&M behind the eight‑ball. Now, the math is simple and unforgiving: the Aggies must beat Arizona State twice on Sunday to advance to the Super Regional round.

Calling anything an “upset” at this stage feels misleading. ASU arrived in College Station as the Big 12 Tournament champions, a team fully capable of hosting a regional themselves had the selection committee’s chips fallen differently. Meanwhile, A&M entered the postseason as the SEC’s sixth‑place finisher talented, dangerous, but inconsistent enough to land in the 16‑seed slot.

Arizona State has played like a team with something to prove, and after Saturday’s win, they sit firmly in the driver’s seat. If Texas A&M wants to avoid being bounced from their own regional for the second straight year, they’ll need their best softball of the season twice against a Sun Devils squad that has already shown it can go toe‑to‑toe with them.

Sunday will demand resilience, clean pitching, and timely hitting. The path is steep, but the opportunity is right in front of them.

Below is all the information for the regional game:
