Two collegiate golfers, one from UTEP and one from New Mexico State, will continue their 2026 season at the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Regionals at the Gallery Golf Club in Marana, Arizona, on May 18-20.
UTEP’s Dylan Teeter
Dylan Teeter is the first Miner since Charles Corner (2017 and 2018) to advance to back-to-back NCAA Regionals. Corner was the last Miner to advance to the NCAA Championships in 2018. Before that, Chris Baryla was the last to do so in 2004.
Teeter, who’s ranked No. 137 in the latest ScoreBoard polls, leads the Miners with a 70.3 stroke average. The fifth-year player earned four CUSA Golfer of the Week honors (Sept. 3 & 10, and April 8 & 15) and six for his career – both program records. He’s played in all 12 tournaments and was the top Miner in nine of those. Teeter also forged six top-10 finishes along with a trio of top-5 finishes.
Teeter was named the 2026 CUSA Player of the Year.
New Mexico State’s Javier Delgadillo from El Paso
Javier Delgadillo, a native of El Paso, turned in a strong senior campaign and capped it off by winning the individual title at the 2026 Conference USA Championship to earn an automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Marana Regional. In 2026, Delgadillo was one of three Aggies to compete in all 30 rounds for the Aggies as he submitted one top-10 finish and three top-25 placements.
The senior Delgadillo played high school golf at Eastwood High School and was the WAC Freshman of the Year in 2023. In total, he posted five rounds in the 60s this season, including shooting a 66 and a 68 in the second and third rounds of the CUSA Championship, respectively. His win at the CUSA Championship marked the seventh top-10 finish of his career.
