UF is a win away from advancing and hosting a super regional as it faces Georgia Tech in the 2026 NCAA Gainesville Regional at 12 p.m. If the Gators lose to the Yellow Jackets, they will play another game — to begin at 2:30 p.m.

It’s the second meeting this weekend between the two, and Florida looks to continue the positive momentum from what transpired Saturday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.

UF knocked the ball all around KSP and run-ruled GT 8-0. The game started slow for the orange and blue, but it all changed when Kenleigh Cahalan blasted a three run home run on an 11 pitch at bat.

From then on, Florida couldn’t stop. It scored another five runs before the end of the fifth inning including a triple from Cassidy McLellan and a double from Ava Brown — who set the program record for doubles in a season.

In the circle, Keagan Rothrock excelled with no runs and just four hits.

GT responded with its second win over Texas State later in the day — 4-1 to eliminate the No. 2 seed. The Yellow Jackets had to use ace Madalyn Johnson in a win-or-go-home battle vs. the Bobcats. She dominated in a complete game, but she likely can’t go the distance Sunday — especially in two games.
