Team Dyess member found dead in Abilene after motorcycle crash

A 21-year-old who was a member of Team Dyess was found dead Tuesday near a motorcycle in a field just west of Dub Wright Boulevard, Abilene police said in a media release.

Devinn Wall of California appears to have crashed the motorcycle, and his body appeared to have been in the field unnoticed for some time, police said.

This investigation is ongoing, police said. Dyess Air Force Base was notified.

About 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, police dispatch was notified of a possible motorcycle crash in the 3100 block of Dub Wright Boulevard, police said. A passerby had noticed a motorcycle laying in a field near the road.

Officers located a 2026 Suzuki GSX laying in the field, police said. A justice of the peace officially pronounced him dead at the scene.

Wall was headed north when the crash occurred, and speed might have been a contributing factor in the crash. He was wearing a helmet when the motorcycle crashed.

Police believe no other vehicles were involved in the wreck, the media release said.
