Starbucks has launched a new patriotic-colored drink ahead of Independence Day, proving the coffee giant truly has a drink for every occasion. On Tuesday, Starbucks began offering the new Firework Frappuccino Blended Beverage for a limited time — inspired by the company’s Summer-Berry Refresher.
“The Firework Frappuccino features the delicious berry flavors of [the] Starbucks Summer-Berry Refresher blended with coconut milk and poured over juicy raspberry-flavored pearls,” the press release states. “A swirl of strawberry purée adds a bold red pop, while a cloud of vanilla sweet cream cold foam tops off the drink with a silky finish.”
Don’t wait to try this all-American drink: The Firework Frappuccino will only be available through Monday, July 7, while supplies last.
Amanda Conaway, a Starbucks product manager who helped in the drink’s creation, describes the drink as “a summer vacation in a cup. From the popping pearls to the creamy vanilla sweet cream, it’s a vibrant, textured beverage inspired by the sights and sounds of summer.”
Starbucks summer menu 2025: More new Frappuccinos on the way
If the Firework Frappuccino excites you, Starbucks has more surprises in store for you. The patriotic drink is one of four new Frappuccino beverages Starbucks had previously hinted would be coming to its coffee shops in July. The other three drinks, which are expected to drop later this month, include:
The new Frappuccino flavors will drop just months after Starbucks pulled unpopular drinks, including nine Frappuccino flavors, to simplify its menu. The menu changes coincided with the reversal of the chain’s open-door policy, both of which are part of CEO Brian Niccol’s “Back to Starbucks” initiative to revitalize U.S. operations.
Another component of the initiative, which took effect June 24, includes an 80-cent charge for any additional combination of syrup or sauce to an unflavored beverage. This does not apply to added or substituted sauces or syrups to a preflavored beverage. For example: Customers can add vanilla syrup to a mocha for free, but must pay an additional 80 cents to add vanilla syrup to a standard iced coffee.
