Texas A&M baseball dropped its second straight game to Georgia, falling 8-2 in what can only be described as a disappointing outing for the 23rd-ranked Aggies. Facing the 7th-ranked Bulldogs, Texas A&M wasn’t necessarily expected to win this series, but two straight blowout losses have deflated an Aggie fanbase once excited to enter SEC play.
The Bulldogs hit six home runs in the match, scoring just one run outside of these six at-bats. On the other hand, the Aggie bats stalled, only getting consecutive batters on base twice.

Georgia reliever Matt Scott gave a masterful performance, taking over the mound in the fourth inning and allowing only one run in a 100-pitch, five-inning game to seal the victory. Meanwhile, Aggie relievers Gavin Lyons and Hunter Vincent combined for four earned runs in a subpar combined 2.1 innings of bullpen play.
