With the 2025-26 high school basketball season complete, here is a look at the El Paso Times’ All-City boys basketball team.
The list includes the Overall, MVP, Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, Coach of the Year and first-team, second-team and honorable-mention squads.

The El Paso Times All-City list includes players in Classes 4A, 5A and 6A.
Player of The Year
Braeden Quigley, Senior, Forward, Eastlake
Of Note: Quigley was a standout for the Falcons in leading them to a District 1-6A title and a bidistrict title in the playoffs. Quigley was efficient on offense, averaging nearly 17 points per game and shot 62 percent from the field. He was also a strong defensive player, averaging 5.4 rebounds per game. In his career, he helped the Falcons to back-to-back district titles.
Offensive Player of The Year
Anthony Rubio, Senior, Wing, Burges
Of Note: Rubio was on varsity for all four years and helped lead the Mustangs to 24 wins this past season, averaging 17.6 points per game and making 212 field goals. Rubio finished his career with 2,394 points, and in recent years, he’s been among the best in school history. Tristen Newton finished with 3,266 points and Jawuan Newoin scored 2,309 for the Mustangs.
Defensive Player of The Year
Keyshaun Lawrence, Senior, Guard, Chapin
Of Note: Lawrence was a mainstay on the successful Chapin basketball team and defensive effort was always a key to team’s success. For the season, he averaged three steals and two blocks per game.
Coach of The Year
Danny Martinez, Burges
Of Note: Martinez guided the Mustangs to 24 wins, three playoff victories and a spot in the Class 5A, Division 2 regional finals. In the playoffs, Burges beat Hanks, Amarillo Palo Duro and Fort Worth Brewer. During the regular season, the Mustangs had huge wins vs. Chapin and Burges.
First Team
Jacob Garcia, Senior, Guard, Chapin
Of Note: A leader throughout his career. As a senior, he averaged 12 points, five assists and four rebounds per game, helping the team to the District 1-5A championship.
Julien Falk-Ramirez, Junior, Guard, Eastwood
Of Note: The junior averaged 15.1 points, 3.7 assists and 2.9 steals per game.
Toraino Johnson, Jr., Sophomore, Wing, Andress
Of Note: One of the city’s emerging stars, he averaged 15.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore this past season.
Santi Gaytan, Junior, Forward, Franklin
Of Note: Had a strong overall season, averaged 6.5 rebounds per game, shot 58% from the field and averaged two assists per game.
Josh Pichardo, Senior, Guard, Americas
Of Note: One of the top guards in the city and region averaged 15.5 points, 3.4 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
Second Team
Johan Camacho, Senior, Forward, Bowie
Of note: He averaged 19.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
Caleb Gutierrez, Junior, Forward, Eastlake
Of Note: Gutierrez averaged 12.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Tanner Jones, Senior, Guard, Franklin
Of Note: Jones averaged 10.3 points, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
Jacob Villalobos, Junior, Guard, El Dorado
Of Note: Villalobos shot 49% from the floor, made 84% of his free throws, made 55 3-pointers and scored in double figures in all but five games.
RJ Lopez, Senior, Guard, Coronado
Of Note: Helped team to Class 6A playoffs and averaged 10 points, four assists and three steals per game.
Honorable Mention
Carmyne Mychackavane, Junior, Forward, Andress
Of Note: Averaged 11.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Justin Herrera, Junior, Forward, Montwood
Of Note: He averaged 15,5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Devin Gonzalez, Senior, Guard, Mountain View
Of Note: Gonzalez averaged 20 points, nine rebounds, three steals per game and three assists per game.
Malachi Jones, Junior, Guard, Austin
Of Note: Jones averaged 14.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Jacob Perez, Senior, Guard, Hanks
Of note: Perez averaged 18.4 points and made 103 3-pointers this season.
Angel Dominguez, Junior, Guard, Bel Air
Of note: Dominguez had an outstanding season, averaging 12 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
Alex Bermudez, Senior, Forward. Burges
Of note: Bermudez was steady for the Mustangs, averaging 11 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
Matthew Portillo, Senior, Guard, Clint
Of note: Averaged 16 points, shot 55% from the field and averaged 6.0 rebounds per game.
Joaquin Gallinar, Sophomore, Guard, El Paso High
Of note: Averaged 15 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
Jonathan Cruz, Senior, Guard, San Elizario
Of note: Averaged 17 points and 5.0 assists per game.
