About 10,000 runners participated in the 49th annual Beach to Bay Relay Marathon in Corpus Christi on May 16.
Kevin Vaez was the first runner to cross the finish line at two hours and 10 minutes, and Courtney Rouse was the first woman to do so about 30 minutes later.
Carlos Zervigon was the first solo runner to finish the entire 26.2-mile course on his own at two hours and 37 minutes.
