Following the 2026 NBA Draft, the Houston Rockets acted quickly, signing NC State’s Quadir Copeland to a two-way contract. They continued to make moves post-draft, agreeing to bring in Oscar Cluff for the 2026 NBA Summer League.
An Australian big man, Cluff played three collegiate seasons, including last year at Purdue, where he averaged 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.5 steals. Of his numbers, his prowess on the offensive glass was quite impressive, averaging 3.3 offensive rebounds per game. A season prior at South Dakota State, Cluff posted monster numbers, averaging 17.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.5 steals.
While Cluff certainly has areas of his game (defense and shot-blocking) that he needs to polish, the 24-year-old could make for a G-League depth piece if he develops well this summer.
