Police seek tips, search continues for Lubbock man last seen in 1988

Lubbock police on Wednesday issued a renewed public plea for information as they continue to investigate the disappearance of a 36-year old veteran reported missing nearly 40 years ago.

Frankie Jordan, who lived in the 2200 block of East 29th in Lubbock, was last seen in May of 1988, according to Lubbock police officials.

At the time of his disappearance, Jordan had black hair, brown eyes, stood at 5 feet, 11 inches in height and weighed about 185 pounds.

Jordan was a fireman in the United States Air Force between the approximate years of 1972 and 1980. He also had ties to Denver, Colorado and Sacramento, California.

Police issued a news release on Wednesday asking for tips from the public, but did not immediately elaborate on the timing of the release.
