PFF grades for every Texas A&M transfer addition on offense

Texas A&M’s 2026 transfer portal haul includes 17 signees, led by nine defensive players, and seven players on offense, as Northwestern transfer edge Anto Saka and Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton stick out as likely instant impact starters, while the four offensive line transfers will look to replace five outgoing starters, who all declared for the 2026 NFL Draft.

It’s hard to gauge this early in the offseason how well all 17 new additions will fit within the 2026 lineup, as head coach Mike Elko made several staff changes this offseason, including elevating WR coach Holmon Wiggins as the new offensive coordinator, and defensive assistant Lyle Hemphill to defensive coordinator after Collin Klein departed to become K-State’s head coach, while Jay Bateman accepted the job as Kentucky’s defensive coordinator and play-caller.

On paper, Isaiah Horton is the perfect and much-needed addition to an already established wide receiver room with Mario Craver, Ashton Bethel-Roman, Terry Bussey, and four incoming freshmen filling out the depth chart, as Horton’s size and playmaking ability at the catch point add significant value at the X position.

After losing tight ends Nate Boerkircher and Amari Niblack to the NFL, paired with Theo Melin-Ohrstrom transferring to SMU, UTSA transfer Houston Thomas, and former Fresno State tight end Richie Anderson will join Kiotti Armstrong and Micah Riley, which looks like a more than capable TE rotation.

With the transfer portal closed and A&M’s 2026 roster set, Pro Football Focus’s grades for every new addition, starting on offense, will hopefully provide more clarity for those who have yet to watch each player’s film.
