Behren Morton highlights, strengths, weaknesses at Texas Tech football
Morton’s injury history is the biggest knock against him, and for good reason. He essentially had two or three games in his Texas Tech career where he wasn’t hurt. After having surgery on his shoulder in late 2024, he went into the 2025 season expected to be fully unleashed. Then he got hurt in the season opener and didn’t have much mobility. He still put up solid numbers but his limitations were heavily exposed in the Orange Bowl loss to Oregon.
Even with a bum shoulder and leg, Morton accumulated 5,900 yards and 47 TDs with just 14 interceptions over the last two seasons.
