Here’s leaving the performance at SoFi Stadium back in Los Angeles and hitting reset at home for the Houston Texans’ offense.
The Texans will battle the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season on primetime television. Both teams would love a win to secure a potential better seed in their postseason conversation once January arrives.
The Texans are coming off a struggling 14-9 loss on the road against the Los Angeles Rams, where the offense was stagnant at best. C.J. Stroud threw for 188 yards, but a costly fumble by Dare Ogunbowale in the red zone led to Houston’s best drive stalling.
It also didn’t help that the Texans had several costly pre-snap penalties and three more flags thrown against the offensive line. Even with the defense recording three sacks and a fumble, Puka Nacua’s 10 catches for 123 yards were the difference late in the fourth quarter.
“The things you can control, for me, are the pre-snap penalties,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said on Tuesday. “Making sure we’re in the right formation, no illegal shifts, no jumping offsides. So, it’s just the pre-snap things, those are the ones that are unacceptable to me because we fully control those. So, let’s get those out of the way and then let’s see how we are.”
But while the Texans will take over on national television Monday night on ABC as part of a doubleheader, not every team will be featured on the radar. Some games will garner national buzz, like the Las Vegas Raiders taking on the Los Angeles Chargers or Thursday night’s showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders.

Most of America will see the same two games either in the early or late afternoon slot on FOX and CBS, depending on location.
