The Big East Conference announced the men’s regular season basketball league schedule Sept. 11, completing Xavier’s 2025-26 regular season slate.
Xavier, which finished 13-7 and tied for fourth in the Big East last season, opens league play Dec. 17 at home against Creighton. Xavier’s first road Big East contest is Dec. 20 against Georgetown.
Xavier will host a game on New Year’s Eve for the second consecutive year. Last season, the Musketeers ended the calendar year with a home win over Seton Hall. Dan Hurley’s UConn Huskies visit Cintas Center this December, which is one of five Big East Saturday home games for Xavier.
The first matchup between first-year head coach Richard Pitino and St. John’s head coach Rick Pitino will be Jan. 24.
Xavier has additional marquee matchups in its non-conference schedule, including a road contest against Iowa on Friday, Nov. 14. Xavier will face Georgia and either Clemson or West Virginia in the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic.
The Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout will be held at Cintas Center on Friday, Dec. 5.
