Dallas Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith is set to make an appearance at Walmart in El Paso, according to a poster taped at the store’s entrance.
The former running back is scheduled to appear for a meet-and-greet from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Walmart located at 7555 North Mesa in El Paso, and the first 25 fans will receive an autographed bottle of an Old Spice product, the poster said.
Smith has made appearances in El Paso before, including in October 2024, when he joined then-mayoral candidate Renard Johnson on the first day of early voting to encourage voter turnout.
Smith also appeared at two designated polling locations a few weeks later, greeting voters and campaigning for Johnson.
“I’m honored to have my dear friend, Emmitt, visit El Paso on the first day of early voting,” Johnson then stated. “We’ve had a lot of interest from voters and Cowboys fans who are eager to head to the polls to cast their ballot. I hope this helps get people excited about voting this year.”
