Texas A&M’s 2025 roster features several star transfer additions that should make an immediate impact this fall, led by junior wide receiver KC Concepcion, defensive lineman Tyler Odyedim, and cornerback Julian Humphrey, who is considered one of the fastest players in college football.
Humphrey’s poor play against Alabama, specifically covering star freshman WR Ryan Williams during one of his seven receptions for nearly 180 yards through the air, has led some to believe that the junior corner has lost his touch, but that was simply one game against an elite wideout.
Humphrey’s SEC experience and elite speed earned him an 86 overall and a 98 speed rating in the upcoming College Football 26 video game. Per Pro Football Focus, Humphrey earned a 67.5 defensive grade and a 67.3 coverage grade after his final season with the Bulldogs. He will primarily line up on the outside opposite star corner Will Lee III.
Within the game, Humphrey is the fifth fastest player, and the second fastest cornerback behind UCLA’s Rodrick Pleasant. This is good news for Aggie fans who are unaware of Humphrey’s speed, which should play a significant role in the secondary’s improvement under new defensive assistant Lyle Hemphill.
Over his last two collegiate seasons, Humphrey recorded 21 tackles, 18 solo tackles, and five pass deflections, including four last season. College Football 26 will be released on Thursday, July 10.
