Gray was being held Wednesday in the Wichita County Jail on a total bail of $125,000, according to jail online records.

Anyone charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless convicted beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

A press release from the city of Wichita Falls said Gray’s arrest followed a “months-long investigation.”

Arrest affidavits filed in the case said a city marshal met with a Wichita Falls police detective regarding information found on a cell phone.

According to allegations in the affidavits, the information indicated a woman sent names, vehicle information, vehicle identification numbers and photographs depicting insurance cards to Gray, who then sold them to individuals for prices ranging from $65 to $75.

An investigator examined messages exchanged on Facebook Messenger which detailed transactions, for which Gray allegedly paid the supplier $10 to $20 each via Cash App.

The affidavit said some of the documents were traced to an address on Seventh Street where Gray was employed by a bail bond company.

The city’s press release said the investigation “remains ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out additional charges or suspects.”
