Intriguing small forward commits to Texas Tech basketball

The Texas Tech Red Raiders have made a late addition to their 2026 recruiting class. Small forward Treaton Hall committed to them on Thursday, announcing the news on social media.

The Red Raiders worked quickly to secure Treaton’s commitment after extending him a scholarship offer on May 9. The Fort Worth, Texas native took one visit to Lubbock earlier this week and decided to commit to Grant McCasland’s program. He also had scholarship offers from the New Mexico Lobos and Samford Bulldogs.

Hall is coming off an excellent senior season at North Crowley High School, which he helped lead to a state championship and a 35-4 record. He did it all for them, averaging 14.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.9 blocks in 38 games. He shot 55.% from the field, 32.4% from 3-point range, and 77.8% from the free-throw line.

He is currently unranked as a prospect, but has plenty of potential due to his 6-foot-7 height and versatility. While it might take a little bit of time to develop, he has a chance to become a key contributor for Texas Tech.

Hall is just the second member of their 2026 recruiting class, joining four-star shooting guard Dakari Spear, who has already signed with Texas Tech. The group is ranked as the 60th-best recruiting class in the country and the 9th-best by Rivals.
