Northbound I-71 closed due to 'shots fired' report, police activity

Northbound Interstate 71 is closed the afternoon of May 21 at Stewart Road near Kennedy Heights and Kenwood due to reports of gunfire, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said.

In a 2:18 p.m. statement, the sheriff’s office said the highway would be closed for “at least a couple of hours” while a “shots fired” report is investigated.

Officials are advising the public to avoid the area.
