When officers arrived, they located the victim, Le’ondra Messner, 18, inside the residence, the news release said.

It appeared that she had sustained gunshot wound(s). She was taken to OhioHealth and succumbed to her injuries.

“At this time, it appears the gunshots were fired from close range outside the residence through a window near where the victim was located at the time of the shooting,” Bammann said. “It is still very early in the investigation, and detectives are continuing to piece together the details.”
