Texas A&M softball has ridden a season full of swings. New roles, lineup reshuffling, and the growing pains that come with a roster packed with new starters. Yet through all of it, the Aggies found their identity in SEC play, ripping off wins in six of their first seven conference series to stay firmly in the league’s upper tier.
That surge didn’t happen by accident. A&M needed multiple players to elevate their game, and several did exactly that, stabilizing a team that entered 2026 with more questions than answers. Their consistency carried the Aggies through the toughest stretch of the schedule and ultimately produced four All‑SEC selections when the regular season wrapped.
While the finish wasn’t what they hoped for, Texas A&M still landed right around their preseason projection at No. 6 in the conference. More importantly, despite the massive turnover in production from last year’s roster, the Aggies remain in the hunt to host a regional and they’re unquestionably headed back to the postseason with a chance to push farther than the disappointing 2025 exit.
Below are the Aggies named to the 2026 All‑SEC teams
First Team:
Mya Perez – Junior – First Base/Utility
Kennedy Powell – Senior – Third Base
Second Team:
Micaela Wark – Senior – First Base/DP
Sidne Peters – Junior – Pitcher
