Four Texas Tech softball players named All-Americans by D1Softball

The Texas Tech softball program is back in Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series after beating the Florida Gators in the Super Regional round, and multiple players received some major recognition on Tuesday after helping them get there.

D1Softball announced its 2026 All-American teams, and four Red Raiders made the cut. Pitcher NiJaree Canady and two-way star Kaitlyn Terry both made the first team, while outfielder Mihyia Davis and second baseman Mia Williams both made the second team.

Canady has had another dominant season in the circle, going 25-6 with a 1.78 ERA in 161 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting .161 off her, with 226 strikeouts to 92 hits and 47 walks.

Terry has been among the best two-way players in the country this entire season and gives them one of the best pitching combinations in the country with Canady. As a pitcher, she is 24-1 with a 1.68 ERA in 133.1 innings pitched. At the plate, she is hitting .470 with 10 home runs, 15 doubles, and 55 RBI.

Williams has had an excellent first season for Texas Tech, hitting .435 and leading them in home runs (24), doubles (22), and RBI (82). She was excellent in the Super Regional against Florida, her former team. She went 3-7 with two home runs and five RBI, reaching base five times after getting hit and working one walk.

Davis has taken a step in her second season as a Red Raider, hitting .431 with nine home runs, 14 doubles, 81 runs scored, and 49 RBI. She has stolen 37 bases and has made just two errors this season.
