On Monday, May 18, FirstBank Southwest (FBSW) will open a full-service banking center at a temporary location in Canyon as the bank prepares for its future permanent facility in the community.
The temporary location at 305 15th St. will offer a full range of personal and commercial banking services as FirstBank Southwest establishes its long-term presence in the Canyon community, according to a news release.
“We’re excited to take this next step in Canyon and begin serving customers from a place the community can access today,” said Andy Marshall, President and CEO of FirstBank Southwest. “Canyon has already meant so much to our organization through the people we employ, the customers we serve, and the relationships we’ve built over time. Opening our doors here — while we build our permanent home — is something we’ve looked forward to for a long time.”
To mark the opening, FirstBank Southwest will host a full week of community events.
“This community means a great deal to all of us at FirstBank Southwest,” De Leon said. “For me personally, Canyon has always been home, so being able to serve this community in this role is especially meaningful. We’re excited to be here, to support local families and businesses, and to show up in ways that matter every day.”
Also during opening week, FBSW will also support local hunger relief efforts through a partnership with Fill with Hope. For every new account opened at the Canyon branch that week, the bank will donate $15. Customers who choose a Canyon ISD school spirit debit card can boost the donation to Fill with Hope by an additional $5.
Community members are invited to attend the public events throughout the week and help celebrate FirstBank Southwest’s entry into Canyon.
