El Paso police detectives are investigating a shooting that seriously wounded a man in the South Side.
The wounded man was located when the El Paso Police Department responded to a call regarding a shooting shortly before 9:15 p.m. on Monday, May 11, in the area of North San Marcial Street and Durazno Avenue, El Paso police spokesman Officer Adrian Cisneros said.
The case is under investigation by detectives, who determined the shooting occurred about a block away near an underground rock music venue at 3016 Gateway East Blvd., Cisneros said.
The wounded man was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, police said. An investigation continues.
