A 58-year-old man was exiting his pickup truck parked in front of a home when he was hit by a speeding car and seriously injured, Crime Stoppers of El Paso said.
The unsolved hit-and-run crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. on March 1 in the 4500 block of Hercules Avenue in Northeast El Paso. The case is Crime Stoppers’ Crime of the Week.
El Paso police investigators found evidence at the scene indicating the hit-and-run vehicle was a gray 2019 to 2025 Volkswagen Jetta, Crime Stoppers said. The car will have crash damage to its right front bumper and passenger door mirror, police said.
The car was recorded on nearby security cameras and was last seen heading west uphill on Hercules Avenue and crossing Dyer Street.
Anyone with information on the Hercules hit-and-run may anonymously call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477 (TIPS) or leave a tip online at cselpaso.org. Tipsters could be eligible for a cash reward if information leads to an arrest.
