Lubbock Democrat Kyle Rable now knows who he’ll face on the November ballot in the race for West Texas’ U.S. House District 19.
Rable released a statement late Tuesday after Tom Sell secured victory over Abraham Enriquez in the Republican Party primary runoff to represent the GOP in this fall’s race for the Congressional seat.
In his statement Rable said she believes West Texans deserve a representative who prioritizes integrity and innovation over the status quo as the general election approaches.
“The result of today’s election begins the months-long debate about the future of this district. D.C. insiders and the establishment have viewed the 19th District as an entitlement for far too long, rather than a place that deserves genuine advocacy and tangible outcomes.” Rable said. “Our movement is notcentered on one party or one person; it is centered on the authentic representation that West Texans areowed.”
Rable is a Texas Tech PhD Candidate, U.S. Army Reserves Captain and had served as Secretary of the Lubbock County Democratic Party.
Rable faced no Democratic challenger in his party’s March 2 primary to vie for the U.S. House19 seat that covers a sprawling district including Lubbock, Abilene and Big Spring.
“Families across our district are worried about rising costs, healthcare access, infrastructure, public education, and protecting the future of our rural communities,” Rable’s statement continues. “They deserve a representative who will listen, show up, and fight for them every single day. This election will give voters a clear choice between politics as usual and a campaign focused on the people of West Texas.”
Rable’s statement said he will continue meeting with voters across the district in the weeks ahead as the general election campaign begins.
“It never mattered who we faced in the November election, it would always be someone backed by theestablishment hellbent on selling out West Texas to interests outside of the working class and farmers,” he said. “I will always fight to take West Texas back for the people.”
