The summer schedule for Corpus Christi pools and splash pads will start May 30 and continue through Aug. 9.
The city of Corpus Christi said in a news release that the Parks and Recreation Department implemented water-saving measures at all pools and splash pads to adapt to the ongoing drought.
The efforts involve using a solar shield water additive to minimize evaporation and pool covers to further reduce evaporation when not in operation. The measures are expected to save up to 95% of the water use.
