For some — like Veterans Memorial and Flour Bluff — Week 2 is the last dress rehearsal for district play, and for others it represents an opportunity to improve from the season opener.
The Eagles clash with Carroll after an impressive win against Miller to open the year while Refugio comes to Corpus Christi to take on London in a pair of Thursday tilts.
