Opportunity was calling — and the Trumps answered.
On Monday, the Trump Organization — currently run by the president’s children while he serves in office — announced the launch of Trump Mobile, a self-branded phone service aimed at conservatives and fans of former President Donald Trump.
The new venture comes on the 10th anniversary of Trump’s ride down the golden escalator at Trump Tower to launch his presidential campaign for his first term.
“I’m incredibly excited to step into this new digital space, hard-working Americans deserve a wireless service that’s affordable, reflects their values, and delivers reliable quality they can count on,” eldest son Eric Trump, who is the organization’s executive vice president, said in a statement on the website.
What is the T1 Phone?
It’s exactly what you’d expect: gold-toned phones, free international calls for military families and the Trump name front and center of it.
The service, set to launch later this year, will be operated by T1 Mobile LLC — a separate company that licenses the Trump brand. According to the announcement, Trump Mobile will run on “all three major carriers” and promises nationwide 5G coverage.
Its flagship offering, dubbed the “47 Plan,” costs $47.45 a month — a nod to Trump’s seat as both the 45th and 47th president. It will also include a customer-service call center in St. Louis.
According to the website, subscribers will receive the following added benefits:
“Trump Mobile is going to change the game, we’re building on the movement to put America first, and we will deliver the highest levels of quality and service,” said Donald Trump Jr. in a statement. “Our company is based right here in the United States because we know it’s what our customers want and deserve.”
How to get T1 Mobile
According to the website, signing up is simple. Customers can switch to Trump Mobile with a quick call to 888-TRUMP45 — even with their own phone.
Those hoping to get their hands on the sleek new smartphone will have to wait until August.
