The city of San Angelo has named Ryan Gaddy as its new economic development director, according to a news release.
Gaddy’s duties will begin Tuesday. He brings expertise in finance, business development and public service to drive economic growth and investment in San Angelo, the release stated.”In this role, he will lead efforts to attract new businesses, support local entrepreneurs and promote sustainable growth throughout San Angelo and the surrounding region,” according to the release.
He will also oversee the implementation of the city’s economic development initiatives, manage incentive programs and sales tax projects and foster partnerships that strengthen San Angelo.“I’m eager to hear from all partners and stakeholders involved in economic development to ensure our efforts are aligned and focused on maximizing San Angelo’s planned growth,” Gaddy said.
Gaddy has served as the city’s assistant finance director since 2018. He lead the department’s reorganization, building high-performing teams and overseeing budgeting, capital planning and investment management.
“He also has more than two decades of corporate finance experience with Verizon, where he held executive roles in financial planning, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions,” the release stated.
Gaddy earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Angelo State University. He is a certified public accountant.
