Calallen senior Brookelynn Meador was selected as Most Valuable Player of the Texas High School Coaches Association Super Elite Softball team in Class 4A this week.
Meador led several Corpus Christi stars with her selection.
The senior, who signed with UTSA, helped Calallen claim its third consecutive state championship in softball, a feat never accomplished in Texas before 2025.
Meador hit .488 with 12 home runs, 33 extra-base hits and 47 RBIs, while swiping 16 bases, making the move from catcher to shortstop for the Wildcats.
Teammate Jordyn Thibodeaux was honored as the Pitcher of the Year on the Class 4A team. She was 18-6 on the season with a 1.02 earned-run average and 268 strikeouts.
Braelyn Bailey, the MVP of the UIL State Tournament for Class 4A Division I, was also honored. Bailey was the District 31-4A MVP this season, hitting .505 with seven home runs, 37 RBIs and 22 stolen bases.
Veterans Memorial sophomore Parker Malone was chosen for the Class 5A Super Elite Team by the THSCA. Malone set a Coastal Bend record with 23 home runs and 87 RBIs this season while hitting .626 and garnering District 29-5A MVP honors.
