Bleacher Report puts Texas A&M QB in the Top 100 All‑Time Busts List

What is a bust? In sports, the definition shifts depending on who you ask, but the core idea stays the same. A highly drafted athlete who never lives up to the expectations tied to their selection. And on that note, one of Texas A&M’s most beloved and most polarizing former quarterbacks landed on Bleacher Report’s Top 100 Busts list.

Of course, it’s Johnny Manziel.

After a historic college career and a Heisman Trophy, Manziel entered the NFL as a first‑round pick of the Cleveland Browns, expected to compete for the starting job. Instead, he appeared in just 15 games, finishing 2–4 as a starter with 1,675 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions. From there, he bounced around multiple leagues before taking his final snap in 2022 with the Fan Controlled Football (FCF) league.

Since stepping away from football, Manziel has been open about his struggles with mental health and the work he’s done to move forward. He’s hosted a podcast, appeared on reality TV, and most recently won a mixed‑martial‑arts fight via first‑round TKO. His football career may not have materialized the way many expected, but he’s carving out a new path and for that, he deserves credit.

So where did he land on Bleacher Report’s list? No. 26. You can check out the full Top 100 here.
