It is time for the Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate. Each game will be played at the spring training stadium in Surprise, Arizona, where the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers play. The Texas Tech Red Raiders barely qualified for the postseason after beating Cincinnati on Saturday, and a loss by the Arizona Wildcats gave them the final slot in the tournament.
Head coach Tim Tadlock has one more shot at getting his team in the NCAA Tournament; all they have to do is win the Big 12 Tournament. That is easier said than done. The good news is that it starts in Tech’s favor, so to speak. The Red Raiders will face off with the BYU Cougars on Tuesday evening. BYU is the only team that Tech beat in a Big 12 series this season. The Red and Black defended the home turf, taking two of three from the Cougars.
