Atmos Energy has presented the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank with a $150,000 donation to its capital campaign project, according to a media release.
The project aims to increase services to Wichita County and surrounding counties, including Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Haskell, Jack, Montague, Throckmorton, Wilbarger and Young, the media release said.
Atmos Energy’s funding is a part of the Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities Initiative to relieve hunger in the communities the company serves, the media release said.
The food bank is raising funds to build a new facility, the James N. McCoy Foundation Distribution and Education Center, a May 1 Times Record News article said.
The facility will combine food distribution and education, as well as have space for emergency and disaster relief products, the article said.
