Dallas Cowboys’ All-Pro kick returner KaVontae Turpin was arrested Sunday morning by the Allen police department in Texas.vTurpin, 28, faces multiple charges, including a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana and a Class A misdemeanor for unlawfully carrying a weapon.
His total bond amount was $500.

Turpin joined Dallas in 2022 after four seasons playing in different professional leagues, most notably with the New Jersey Generals of the USFL in the Spring of 22, where he was named league MVP after leading the league in receiving yards, punt return yards, and average yards per punt return.
The Cowboys signed Turpin to a three-year contract extension worth up to $18 million following a breakout 2024 season in which he led the league in total kick return yards (904) and average yards per return (33.5) and became the first player in team history to have a kick and punt returned for a touchdown in a season.
He also saw more action at wide receiver, recording career highs with 31 receptions and 420 yards, and scored two touchdowns.
