Amigo Man named grand marshal of 2026 Sun Bowl Parade

The Sun Bowl Association and Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers announced the grand marshal and theme for this year’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

The grand marshal will be the Amigo Man; Estine Davis, El Paso businesswoman, owner of Estine’s Barbershop, is the posthumous honorary grand marshal. The theme of the parade is “Famous Sports & Movie Scenes.”

This year’s parade will start at 10 a.m. on Nov. 26, 2026. For more information on the parade, visit www.sunbowl.org.

Nov. 28, 2024: Wayne Thornton, Sun Bowl Association President in 2005, he retired from the El Paso Parks and Recreation Department in 2020, ending a 43-year career with the department.
