The Abilene Christian Wildcats were rewarded Wednesday, June 17 with more hardware from their outstanding performance during the 2025 college football season.
ACU’s returning coaches and players were honored and recognized for their 2025 United Athletic Conference Football Championship during a ceremony at the Brown Family Club within Wildcat Stadium in Abilene. Players and coaches received 2025 UAC football conference championship rings, presented to them by Wildcats head coach Keith Patterson and ACU’s leadership.
Abilene Christian won its second consecutive UAC football conference title in 2025 after finishing with a 9-5 overall record and 7-1 mark in conference play.
The Wildcats own a 14-2 combined record against UAC conference opponents over the last two years.
ACU also advanced to the FCS Playoffs for the second straight season in 2025, beating the Lamar Cardinals 38-20 in the first round before falling to Stephen F. Austin in a 41-34 loss during the second round.
The Wildcats return 45 players from their 2025 roster, including senior running back Rovaughn Banks, Jr. and senior wide receiver Dallas Dudley — who combined for 1,181 total yards and five touchdowns last year — as well as senior defensive back Noah Mangham, who led ACU with nine pass break-ups last season.
Abilene Christian will kick off its 2026 campaign when the Wildcats travel to face Lamar at a to-be-determined time on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Provost Umphrey Stadium in Beaumont.
ACU will then hit the road to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock in a game that will be broadcast on FS1.
