2027 5-star OL will take official visit to Texas A&M this summer

Texas A&M’s 2027 recruiting class is taking shape, as all ten commitments are slated to take official visits to College Station in the coming months, while nearly every priority prospect in the 2027 cycle has announced that OV dates, including five-star offensive lineman Kennedy Brown.

Brown, who has already visited Texas A&M over a dozen times, will reportedly choose between the Aggies and Oregon in the coming months, allowing coach Mike Elko and his staff to lay out the red carpet for the Humble, Texas native, and given offensive line coach Adam Cushing’s recent recruiting success, including landing former five-star OL Lamont Rogers in the 2025 signing class.

Brown, who is slightly undersized, possesses elite length and is already a lock-down pass protector with the versatility to play at either tackle spot or even guard if needed. Elko and Cushing are constantly looking for offensive line prospects with an elite work ethic and a willingness to change positions if asked, and knowing Kennedy Brown’s NFL potential, Texas A&M looks like the perfect spot to develop.

While rumors and later reports indicated Brown was returning to College Station for a visit, it was confirmed on Wednesday that he will take an official visit to Texas A&M on June 5-7. With Oregon being the only competition, the Aggies are in a great position to potentially land his commitment that weekend.

According to Rivals, Kennedy Brown is currently the 4th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 2nd-ranked tackle, and the 2nd-ranked prospect in Texas.
