Coaches know what they’re going to get with the high school football schedule.
Typically, the opponents were determined long ago, and tweaks are unnecessary. Teams alternate road and home games with conference foes and rivals from season to season.
Several programs from the Sandusky Bay Conference will help form the Northern Ohio Conference after the current season. For now, however, the schedule shouldn’t surprise you.
Still, each of the area teams below has something on its schedule to take note of.
Fremont Ross
Sandusky is the Week 2 matchup on the road. The Little Giants play host to Toledo Whitmer and Findlay at home after a trip to Perrysburg against the heavyweights from the Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division the next three weeks.
Ross follows with three straight games on the road, including the first two of its four games in the NLL Cardinal Division.
Clyde
The Fliers play host to rival Bellevue to start the season. Clyde plays three straight games on the road, starting Week 4 and finishing with a visit to Perkins to start play in the Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division.
Clyde finishes with three games in the division, including Sandusky and Norwalk at home.
Port Clinton
Port Clinton starts with three consecutive games on the road, bookended by trips to Norwalk St. Paul and rival Oak Harbor.
The four-game SBC Bay Division portion of the schedule is sandwiched between a visit from Clyde and trip to Sandusky.
Oak Harbor
The Rockets start with two games on the road, followed by three straight home games, including Port Clinton in Week 3 and the first two games in the Northern Buckeye Conference. Oak Harbor visits rival Genoa in Week 6 and then travel to Eastwood.

The Golden Bears alternate from home to road the entire six-game SBC River Division schedule to finish the regular season.
Bellevue
Bellevue plays three consecutive games at home, starting with a visit from Wauseon the second week, followed by Air Force quarterback commit Brayden DeVito and Shelby. Bellevue visits Perkins for Week 5.

The Raiders twice play three consecutive games at home, including four of six games in the SBC River Division.
