West Branch High School’s Class of 2026 celebrated its commencement May 22 with 116 students receiving their diplomas.
The class had four valedictorians – Allison Kanagy, Addison Reichenbach, Raelyn Walker and Kasen Weaver. Abigail Carver was salutatorian.
Weaver gave the commencement address, speaking in his deep green robe in front of the large, detailed mural of an Indian Warrior displayed on the wall of the school’s gym.
The school’s choir performed, led by choir director Krista Clay. Her son, graduate Gavin Clay, performed a solo, “Homeward Bound,” during the ceremony,
West Branch Superintendent Matthew Manley welcomed attendees to start the event. Principal Brian Coffee gave out Presidential Awards and Honors Diplomas. Coffee’s son, Zachary, was one of the graduates during the ceremony.
Assistant Principal Chris Berni presented the Class of 2026 for graduation. Graduating with high honors were:
Summa cum laude with distinction: Addison Reichenbach, Raelyn Walker and Kasen Weaver.
Summa cum laude: Allie Brammer, Abigail Carver, Gavin Clay, Zachary Coffee, Adam Corallo, Jude Corallo, Lucas Dyke, Avrie Nosek and Chloey Sanor.
Magna lum laude: Jaycee Blinn, Grady Close, Sophia Dorris, Allison Kanagy, Mollie McDorman, Alaina Schluneker, Sara Schmidt and Dalton Shell.
Cum laude: Aaron Bayne, John Biggs, Amelia Corallo, Ciara Evans, Ethan Favazzo, Gavin Gregory, Abigail Janosik Marshall Klemann and Jack Mudger.
