Washington Twp. trustees approve funds for state audit

Highlights of July 21 meeting of Washington Township trustees:

Department reports

Park: No report

Zoning: One permit issued. Trustees approved motions to send letters to property owner in the 6800 block of Oakhill to clean up trash; and property owner in the 124 block of Beech Street to mow grass.

Fire: As of meeting date, department had made 297 runs for the year. Truck 5 is being repaired, and the department will take part in the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival’s Pump-In and Muster on Aug. 3 at Glamorgan Castle in Alliance.

Road: Ditching on Fox; fixed a blow hole on Carol; straightened road signs; and started the second roadside mowing on Cenfield, Bowman and South Mahoning.

UPCOMING – Trustees’ next regular meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at Township Hall.
