Vote Now: Which local football team will improve the most?

LANCASTER – High school football officially began on Aug. 1. At this time of the year, every team is energized and ready to go.

They all have high hopes of having a successful season. It’s your chance to vote in the Eagle-Gazette fan poll on which area high school football team will have the biggest improvement over last season.

Three teams improved their record from 2024 to 2025. Fisher Catholic went from 4-6 to 8-2, Berne Union improved from 3-7 to 4-6, and Liberty Union was 3-7 in 2025 after going 2-8 the previous season. Fairfield Christian Academy went from 3-7 to 5-5 a year ago, while Fairfield Union (6-4) and Millersport (2-8) had back-to-back years with the same record. Bloom-Carroll (7-3) and Amanda-Clearcreek (5-5) won one less game. Lancaster has had back-to-back 3-7 records.

Fans can vote in the poll as often as allowed. The poll will run from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday.
