MADISON TOWNSHIP ― Madison Township firefighters battled a house fire at 973 N. Trimble Road Aug. 4, where two occupants were treated at the scene for undisclosed injuries, according to Capt. Mike Shears.
Shears said the house is a total loss and the American Red Cross and 1 800 Board Up were called to the scene.
He did not yet know the origin or cause of the fire.
Smoke could be seen rolling out from beneath the roof of the small house shortly after 8 a.m.
The 179th Wing of the Ohio National Guard Fire Department, Springfield Township and Mansfield fire departments were also on scene with a tanker.
