Allie DeMassimo, Norwayne girls basketball
In Friday’s Division V regional final at Elyria Catholic High School, DeMassimo led the Bobcats with 17 points in Norwayne’s 52-33 victory over rival Chippewa.
Faith Lengacher, Smithville girls basketball
In Wednesday’s Division VI regional semifinal at Middle Lake High School, Lengacher scored 17 points and made five 3-pointers in Smithville’s 50-39 win over Richmond Heights.
Peyton Martin, West Holmes boys wrestling
At Saturday’s Division II district tournament, Martin advanced to next weekend’s state tournament by winning the district title at 120 pounds.
Brandon Walters, Waynedale boys wrestling
At Saturday’s Division III district tournament, Walters advanced to next week’s state tournament by winning the district title at 285 pounds.
Lowen Ferguson, Hillsdale boys basketball
Ferguson scored 30 points in Hillsdale’s 80-70 Division VII district final won over McDonald on Saturday at Mineral Ridge High School.
